Allen College has prioritized investments in technological improvements to meet the learning needs of today’s students. The Van G. Miller Foundation Anatomy Lab features plastinated cadavers offering students hands-on opportunities to apply their knowledge. The Allen College simulation lab allows students to experience critical medical events in an environment where a patient’s life is not at risk. Allen College has also recently upgraded digital instruction capabilities throughout campus to enhance both in-person and hybrid learning.

Clinical and Fieldwork Opportunities

Allen College, an affiliate of UnityPoint Health, partners with UnityPoint Health hospitals and clinics across a three-state footprint for students to experience real-life healthcare settings. Additionally, Allen College has partnerships with more than 200 healthcare organizations across Iowa and surrounding states to provide diverse clinical or fieldwork learning environments.
